How is bonding done?
Though bonding is quite a simple procedure, it requires trained hands to do the job. During the initial appointment, a
thorough screening will be carried out to check for damage, tooth discoloration, tartar accumulation, cracks, cavities, existing restorations, and other factors that could affect the procedure. The composite material will be matched with the color and texture of your enamel.
The tooth receiving the restoration will be etched in order to roughen its surface. This allows the composite material to adhere to the tooth surface and provide perfect sealing. Several layers of the bonding material will be applied to the tooth, one after the other until the required contour is achieved. It will be hardened using a curing light. Finally, it may be polished to improve aesthetics.
